The Art Of Religion Book

Religion Vs. Relationship

This is a true story about a 79 year old man’s personal walk with God, written over 8 years, from the aspect of an investigative reporter. A man who spent nearly 50 years of his life both inside and outside of the “corporate church,” freely ministering to hurting people. This book dives into the Biblical history of the personal relationship that God desires to have with mankind. A relationship which many people, unfortunately, keep turning into what Jesus (Yeshua) called the “traditions of man.”

Chapter 1 – Why?

I basically used Chapter One as an opportunity to introduce myself to the reading audience. While doing that, I interjected a humorous story about how Ernest Hemmingway once filled his office floor with crumpled up paper while struggling to get a new book started. Thankfully, I did not waste that much paper, but it did take me 21 computer re-writes to finally complete the very first chapter!

The explanation of “Why I wrote the book,” revolves mainly around the importance, especially to me, of leaving behind a Godly legacy for my family and friends. While doing that, I shared a teaching on the “Great Commission,” and how writing this book helped me to accomplish a small portion of that God-given responsibility. I went on to share some personal stories about my Lutheran church upbringing and also portions of my personal salvation testimony.

Now it is your turn to comment about shared experiences, ideas, memories, or simply tell me how you were affected by this chapter!
